Wing Chun Kung Fu
Kung Fu in its entirety has many life enhancing properties. From strengthening you body and mind to easing pain and releasing stress. Kung fu is an all encompassing life affirming skill.
Kung fu literally translates to "a skill acquired through dedication" and it is that dedication that enhances life itself.
Wing Chun kung fu is a fighting system from southern China developed in the 16th century. It is famous for it's dynamic and explosive close quarter techniques but it can easily work at any range. Recently it has been made popular by the films of Bruce Lee's mentor Ip Man and it is Ip Mans Wing Chun that we teach here at Wing Chun Farnborough. I have been teaching traditional Wing Chun kung fu in Farnborough since 1997. I am an official representative of the East Anglia Wing Chun Athletic under master Brian Desir and a lifetime member of the Ip Chun Wing Chun association. I have a true a passion for personal development and a real commitment to helping individuals reach their full potential. I have dedicated myself to building a system of classes and workshops designed to motivate, teach and guide the individual along their journey of self development.
Wing Chun Class Details
Classes are Mondays & Thursdays 8pm - 9:30pm at The Garrison sports centre Aldershot
Cost : £8 per class
In these classes we work on development of the skills required for the progression of Wing Chun. Using Master Brian Desir's syllabus we coach and build the individuals skill level required for Wing Chun fighting. You will also learn the traditional training tool freestyle chi sao and sparring will play a major part in taking your abilities to a higher level of proficiency.
Classes typically begin with a short warm up and then usually progress to syllabus work and partner drills. You will need to wear some comfortable loose clothing ie a t-shirt and jogging bottoms. Club t-shirts can be purchased once you have joined fully. Remember to bring a drink with you.
We offer a full syllabus catering for all from the complete beginner to the advanced student.
